Engineered Garments SS17 lookbook

Even as our current summer tosses and turns between sodden and warminess, the gentleman menswearman must look to the future. Next summer to be precise. This is the Engineered Garments SS17 lookbook, in its entirety, over one page (no click harvesting galleries here.) Fans familiar with the AW16 collection (dropping any minute) will notice that the unusual midriff and chest level belting on coats and jackets is carried over. Looking forward to checking these details in person – in some instances it’s difficult to tell if they are part of the garment, or some ridiculous harness accessory.

The greys, blues, whites and self-patterns all look strong as always. The brown palette; probably not for me. The denim story looks pretty interesting, it’s nice to see some different jacket shapes, while the military striped jeans (again a detail carried over from winter) might start to look more wearable as the season approaches. You might want to note the inclusion of what look like petrol blue Dr Martins, which if I’m correct feature one shoe with a regular lacing system and one with a ghillie. EG  x DMs? Keep eyes out for pre-order opportunities. Check it all below.
