Bagging pleasantly

As I relayed in a previous post, I was in San Francisco recently and visited Union Made. It felt important to mark this event by dropping some (medium sized) stacks on something. I tried on a bunch of rarified Kapital and Needles fits, but in the end kept it pretty neat and simple, with some fresh jeans and an ecru chore.

The chore was an odd purchase, in that it’s by French Trotters, not a brand I spend a lot of time thinking about. Also, why go all the way to west coast US, only to buy something I could get in the much more convenient Paris? Dunno, other than I felt a compulsion to nab something and a crisp ecru chore just seemed a bit different. In a London landscape of French navy chores, I kind of think a pale one like this is a bit of an oddity.

I also grabbed a pair of jeans branded Okura, which is the store home to the mighty Blue Blue Japan. They’re a simple straight cut, so I bought them way big – they bag pleasantly and even after just a couple of wears are fast becoming my most comfortable pair.

If you get the chance to check out Union Made, do so. Until then check out their edits of French Trotters and Blue Blue Japan online.
