Dictate my peen level

So, you heard about the new dude’s capsule collection in Gap? It’s called Gap Women. Odd name, no question. But, I’ve been clocking chunky stripe shirts all over this season. Our Legacy do one, Bellerose do one. I fancied dropping on this seasonal trend, but didn’t really want to do a ton on a shirt. So, I was pretty surprised to find this new Gap Women range, bang up on S/S14 bro-stylin. It was 40% off too. So like, about 20 quid. Very progressive thinking from the usually monster-bland Gap. It’s totally like Norse Projects or some shit. But for some weird reason, the buttons fasten on the wrong side. Odd that.

For readers on the reg, you’ll remember I’ve bonged on about getting a green Albam blazer and some new white kicks. Well, I read my own site, appreciated the advice and went and bought them. And no PR gifting here. I went and bought them myself, with actual financial cash. I’m keeping this site proper real. Now I’m 260 quid less well off. So who’s laughing now?

For real Albam heads considering another of their cotton blazers, I can tell you that this season they’re cut a little shorter. Both sleeves and body. In fact one of the shop brahs told me that a few people are sizing up this season. I took my usual size, happy to let the whims of the Albam tailoring team dictate how much of a peen I look this summer.

I also wanged on the Eytys from Goodhood. An antidote to technicolor kicks, these simple white sneakers have a hell of a thick sole on them. Like Vans, but pregnant. At 90 they’re not a giveaway, but they do feel reassuringly sturdy. And after giving them a bang around Shoreditch yesterday, I can say I’m confident enough in the brand to fancy ordering a pair in leather from their site.  You can’t buy the leather ones in London. So, I guess, power-cred.

On my swagger about east London, I popped into Anthem, the guys that sell Shoes Like Pottery. It was my first time hands-on with the shoes I so confidently proclaimed as essential in my first post on this site. In the flesh? Not all that. Bit flimsy. A bit like… 120 quid, really? A bit like… they just look like Converse with a blue thing on. A bit like… I’m not bothered about them any more. Sorry about that and shit. But you know, it was about a month and a half ago. Style doesn’t sit still. We’ve all come a long way. I’m wearing a blouse now.
