Forgot I had these pics. They’re from a store called MAC (Modern Appealing Clothing) which I visited in San Francisco a few weeks back. Ironically, for this tech city store, their website is a shocker and offers little more than a list of their brands (Junya, Comme, Our Legacy, Walter Van Beirendonck, Engineered Garments…). Unfortunately you can forget ordering, there’s no e-commerce going on. It’s a shame, because the shop itself is brilliantly diverse, and extremely friendly. I chatted to the owner for ages and learned, amongst other things, that in his view, Levis (who are of course based in San Francisco) only reach their creative potential when a Brit is at the helm of design. In the UK we often take our creativity for granted, it’s nice to be reminded that viewed from afar, we’re considered pretty fucking dynamic. Anyway, if you’re in town drop in. But for now, enjoy the shots…
Sounds like a top boy, but Modern Appealing Clothing – er, come again mate?
