Hang outside H&M loudly tutting

Feels like there’s a lot of army green out there right now. Certainly down London ways there’s a constant battalion of young girls still channelling the whole M-65 jacket over flouncy top thing; a kind of 2009 Carine Roitfeld via Primark vibe. Reason enough to steer clear? Or just an excuse to double-down and look farther afield for your military reinterpretations?

To this end, Japanese brand So Far is both appropriately named and offers pleasingly twisted visions of combat attire. Featuring sharp pleat-front detail and a collarless finish, this jacket is highly versatile, a bang-up layering piece and strong enough to just toss over a plain tee and still slay.

Tighten the cinch at the back to emphasise the rear pleats and get that early 90s Michael Jackson vibe absolutely no one is talking about. Or, keep it as loose as it’ll go, throw it over a long-line shirt, add a pretentious Japanese bucket hat and hang outside H&M loudly tutting.
